After years of traveling, I’ve developed a travel uniform that melds comfort and fashion. Starting with a thinner button down shirt and skinny jeans, I add a pair of slip on flats for easy removal at security. Without fail, I bring a scarf in case it gets cold on the plane and maybe a jacket depending on my final destination.
I hate checking luggage and try to fit everything into a bag I can carry on. My biggest success was using carry on luggage for a two week trip to Italy and Greece that incorporated both work and vacation! To have more space, I use my largest handbag to hold magazines, my iPad and laptop. In the last photo, I switched out my handbag for a crossbody as it’s easier to carry when walking around and flats for sandals to feel like I’m really on vacation.
Today I’m headed to New York for a few days of solo sightseeing. I’m excited to visit new places, return to old favorites and practice my photography skills!
