Best Purchase of 2017

Best Purchase of 2017

In what has somewhat become a tradition around here (see 2014 and 2016), I am excited to share my best purchase of 2017. It’s safe to say I make my fair share of purchases each year. Some are winners, others are not. But every year one, two or sometimes three stand out because of how often I use them or the impact they had on my life.

Since I can’t seem to narrow it down to one specific item, I’m going with my top three purchases of 2017 listed in order of purchase date.

Stuart Weitzman 5050 Boots

1.Stuart Weitzman 5050 Boots

First up are the Stuart Weitzman 5050 over the knee boots. In January I self-imposed a 30-day shopping ban. Then I saw these boots on sale and I couldn’t pass them up. I’ve mentioned it before, but I used a gift card and rewards to buy them. I even shipped them to my parents to save on the sales tax since I knew they were driving out to visit us a few weeks later! The boots themselves are beautiful and fit perfectly, particularly with my smaller calves. I feel like a better version of myself when I wear them.

2. Cult Gaia Ark Bag

Next is the Cult Gaia ark bag. It seemed like everyone on Instagram had it, which held me back from buying it for months. But every time I saw the bag, I loved it. I have the small size in natural, which is the one I’d recommend. I get so many compliments on the bag. It reminds me of summer, sunshine and sand in my toes. Is it practical for a mother of two toddlers? Absolutely not. I still love it. It makes me happy.

3. EmPress Theme

Finally, I invested in my blog by purchasing an EmPress theme when they launched late last year. It’s exactly the refresh I wanted. EmPress themes created a product that makes it so easy to customize. I find myself tweaking little things all the time. Best of all, I have a renewed excitement for blogging!

So there you have it, my best purchases of 2017! Now I should do a roundup of my worst purchases of the year…
