This is my last maternity outfit to share. I think I saved the best for last! Mostly because this is an outfit I’d wear pregnant or not. After swearing 15 years ago I would never, ever own a pair of Birkenstock’s, I am full-on in love with these Arizona Birkenstock sandals in copper. They were so comfortable throughout my pregnancy and bring out my inner boho hippie. Since it’s still hovering around 100 here in Phoenix, I’ll be wearing them well into fall. In fact, I’ll probably wear this exact outfit including my maternity jeans as soon as I make it out of pajamas!

I forgot to mention it in Monday’s post, but I’m recovering from mastitis. Breastfeeding has not been a pain-free experience for me with either Lawson or Sybil. Luckily after having mastitis with Lawson, I knew what it shouldn’t feel like. Although I didn’t have all the usual symptoms (fever, chills, red splotches or streaks), the immense pain every time I would feed Sybil felt exactly the same as when I had it with Lawson. I was put on antibiotics last week and am feeling much better. If you’ve ever had mastitis, you know how painful it is. It is the most pain I have ever experienced. If you’re new to breastfeeding, look out for a low-grade fever, chills, fatigue, pain in your armpit or excruciating pain when nursing. All are signs of mastitis. Go straight to your doctor and get on antibiotics. They help within the first 24 hours. Don’t make the same mistake I did with Lawson and wait 6 weeks before getting diagnosed. And a special thanks to my friend Maggie for mentioning my symptoms sounded like they could be a breast infection. I’m still thankful to this day!
