Off the Shoulder

Off the Shoulder

I’m not quite ready to proclaim an off the shoulder top or dress a wardrobe essential, but I’m pretty close! When off the shoulder tops starting showing up everywhere earlier this spring, I wrote them off as too difficult. After seeing them on so many shapes & sizes, I gave them another look and bought my first one in dress form last week (this embroidered version from Madewell that I shared last week). If I can wear it pregnant, anyone can get in on this trend!

I rounded up 13 of my favorites. White, chambray and blue are your go-to colors when it comes to off the shoulder tops and dresses. They look so summery and carefree! I’d pair a top with loose denim shorts or distressed jeans and sandals. For dresses, I’d wear a pair of wedges for date night or a fancier brunch with girlfriends or sandals like thesethese, or these to keep it more casual.

Are you on board with the off the shoulder trend this summer?
