Weekend Roundup

Striped Swing Dress, 4th of July Style, Denim Vest

Every Friday is great, but today is an especially good one. Tomorrow is July 1st, it’s the start of a holiday weekend and Jim and I are kicking it off with an adults only lunch.

We are doing some major purging and selling or donating a ton of stuff (we’ve listed anything we’re selling on Facebook Marketplace – search my name to see all of our items if you’re interested). Our house is a bit of a mess as we’re sorting through things, which drives me a little nuts. I’m selling some clothes and accessories on Facebook Marketplace or Poshmark and sending the rest to thredUp.

Do you have any fun plans for the holiday weekend? We might be the only Phoenicians not escaping the heat. Whatever you’re up to, stay safe, eat lots of good food and make memories with friends & family!

HIGH POINT:

Technically it was last week, but my high point was Lawson’s first movie night on Saturday. We put Sybil to sleep, crawled into bed with Lawson between us and watched Moana. Well at least the first 45 minutes of it. He was so cute and loved the special time with us. It’s a memory I hope to cherish forever.

LOW POINT:

Our A/C stopped working on Monday. At one point it was 86 in our house before it started cooling down. It was not enjoyable. I don’t know how anyone lived here without A/C!

FIND OF THE WEEK:

It’s hard to choose just one so this week I have two for you. First up are these M.Gemi sandals. They look even better on. I wasn’t sure about the natural shade, sometimes it can be too close to the color of my skin but I immediately fell in love with them. Next are these blueberry and chia seed pancakes. I made them for breakfast this week. We all loved them and I love that they are filled with good for you ingredients.
