This is the second of my recent Madewell dress finds (see the first one here). I’ve been interested in trying the off the shoulder trend and this Madewell embroidered indigo mercado dress was the perfect choice for my pregnant belly. Honestly, I probably would have overlooked this dress online, but when I saw it in store I thought it was worth a try. The embroidery is so pretty! It’s very different from anything else I have in my closet, which is kind of nice.
I may have mentioned this before (#pregnancybrain), but I find my style evolving. Most likely a combination of staying at home, chasing after a toddler and being pregnant for 20 months in the past 2 years. I used to describe my style as classic contemporary. Lately I am still drawn to classic pieces, but veer more towards a bohemian vibe. I’m calling it modern boho. :)
Speaking of style, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale starts tomorrow for cardholders! If you don’t have a debit or credit card and want to shop the sale early, you can apply for one here. I’ve been pouring over the catalog the past 2 weeks. It’s a little hard clothes shopping while pregnant and nothing jumped out at me yet. But there’s always so much more in store and online once the sale starts. Lawson and I will be heading to Nordstrom tomorrow afternoon to check it all out. I’ll report back on Friday with my top 5 picks and have a bigger post for you next week with all my favorites for women, men, kids and home.
