There are certain men’s basic pieces that my brother, dad and Jim wear and like (all of different heights and builds). These are great for working from home or lounging on the weekend. They would also make a great Father’s Day gift if you need any help!

Men’s Basic Essentials
ONE // Allbirds Wool Runners: These are a great everyday sneaker to wear with jeans or shorts. They are perfect for traveling because they are compact and comfortable.
TWO // Mack Weldon Ace Sweatpants: All 3 of the main men in my life own these sweatpants and wear them often (at least 4 nights a week in the winter).
THREE // Bonobos Short-Sleeve Shirts: I try to buy one of these for Jim every spring. The pattern and colors are the most adventurous in either of our closets, which is what makes it fun. Don’t worry, they also have neutral options too! Bonobos has several different fits, which in theory should make it easier to find the perfect fit, but for some reason the sizing can be a bit tricky so you might need some trial and error to find the right one.
FOUR // Cole Haan GrandPro Sneakers: Jim has these sneakers in 3 colors: grey, black and brown. They look great with everything from jeans to a suit and are his go to work shoe.
FIVE // Mack Weldon Boxer Briefs: I’m not sure they’ll be thrilled that I’m sharing their favorite underwear, but here it is. Funny story – my dad wore his inside out for a year because he didn’t realize the logo was on the inside.
SIX // Mack Weldon and Bonobos Socks: I am a big fan of fun dress socks. They add a bit of flare to a neutral outfit. Mack Weldon and Bonobos make the best that I’ve found.
SEVEN // Mack Weldon White Tee Shirts: Oh, the search for the perfect white tee shirts spans across gender. Why are they so hard to find??! We’ve tried multiple brands and the basic white undershirts from Mack Weldon are the best of the bunch.
EIGHT // Mack Weldon Ace Sweatshort: The warm weather version of the sweatpants they all love.
NINE // Patagonia Better Sweater Jacket: This jacket gets a ton of wear in the fall/winter/spring either inside for an extra layer on cold days or as a jacket in cooler fall and spring mornings.
TEN // Vuori Banks Short: These shorts are a more recent discovery. Jim recently asked for another pair, which is a good sign. You can wear them for many activities from working out to swimming.
ELEVEN // Public Rec Go To Polo: This soft and wrinkle-resistant polo is a staple. It has a relaxed fit and comes in 6 colors.
