Weekend Roundup

Nursery

Happy weekend! It must the holiday on Monday, but I’ve been off all week. I’d have a hard time telling you what day it was…I definitely know it’s Friday today though! We made some progress on our summer bucket list this week with a morning at the Phoenix Zoo and afternoon at the splash pad and worked on turning Lawson’s room into a nursery for two.

I started my twice a week doctor appointments yesterday. This baby girl was really active during our non-stress test monitoring and even had a case of the hiccups. Luckily I didm’t have any contractions so we both got a gold star for the visit.

I’ve got a date with a friend tomorrow and Jim’s playing in a golf tournament on Sunday. Other than those commitments, our weekend should be pretty low-key. Maybe we’ll find ourselves crossing off another item on our summer bucket list. Whatever you’re up to, I hope it’s fabulous!!

SHOPPING

I was killing time last week cooling off at the mall with Lawson and stopped in Banana Republic while waiting for our 4th of July dinner at Shake Shack (no judgement please :)). I found so many cute things on sale plus an extra 50% off. Some of my favorites: this boho dress that I’m tempted to buy for fall, this floral midi skirt, this pleated floral skirt and this flutter sleeve print top. What is happening, am I embracing color?!

STROLLING

We debated getting an umbrella stroller for months. After using a friend’s stroller for our last few trips, we finally decided to get our own. I’m so glad we did! It’s not a huge investment (we got the Summer Infant 3D Lite for $65) and it makes my life so much easier. No more lifting a heavy stroller in and out of the car! Now if we could only decide what double stroller to invest in…

PINNING

While in Hawaii, we stopped into Olive, the cutest boutique on the eastern shore of Oahu where I found a neck scarf. I love wearing scarves no matter the season, but a regular length scarf is a hard look for me to pull off pregnant. Enter the neck scarf! Of course now I have to figure out how to wear it and have been pinning options like this and this. Mine is a blue ombre, which I think would look great with a white shirt and shorts. If only I had those two items in something that fit me right now!
